  • November – The Great Whitchurch Bulb Plant

2023

  • February – Quiz at football, sports and social club
  • March – Community Award presented to WIB in parish hall
  • April – May –  Planting up plug plants
  • Clearing, cleaning and weeding in Bell Street car park with volunteers from AWE
  • Best decorated bike competition for coronation of Prince Charles
  • June – Station planters delivered
  • July – RHS In Bloom judging
  • Berehill House residential home to help residents plant up railing planters
  • August – Scarecrow trail entry ‘Whitchurch in Bloomers’! 
  • Received our water bowser

  • November – Coca Cola team of volunteers helped us with weeding and clearing the town
  • December – Planting daffodil bulbs
  • Complimentary Christmas meal at the White Hart

2024

  • February – Valentine’s bike
  • March – Went to Whitchurch Bowling Club to advise on planting
  • April – Started planting thousands of plug plants
  • May – Took New Blue trolley out for first trip
  • June – Planted up planters by Seeviours Court. Planters built by MIND Andover
  • Community invited to ‘Shine A Sign’ in which they clean a street sign near to where they live and plant up a planter beneath it
  • July – RHS In Bloom judging
  • Presentation of cheque to WIB by local choir Singing For Fun
  • WIB stall selling plants and garden makeover raffle tickets at Whitchurch Parish Fete
  • August – Polytunnel erected
  • Garden makeover for raffle prize winner in Overton
  • Judging of Whitchurch Station for Stations In Bloom competition
  • September – Results of RHS In Bloom competition. Awarded: Gold 
  • Also won Small Town category for South and South East
  • Visited Montessori School to advise on planting and make suggestions for their forest school
  • October – Mayors thank you tea party at Whitchurch Town Hall
  • Whitchurch WI present WIB with a cheque
  • Polythene put on polytunnel at the allotment
  • Plant sale at Gill Nethercott Centre
  • Stations In Bloom results. Awarded: Gold 
  • Also received a special award of recognition for outstanding achievement
  • November – Christmas trees put out around the town in support of Whitchurch Lights
  • Lights put on trees and then coloured ribbons purchased by public to attach to the trees. Also sold packets of wild flower seeds to hang on trees as gifts
  • December – 5000 crocus bulbs planted in Alliston Way
  • 500 native daffodils planted at Montessori School with the help of pupils and staff
  • Plant stall at Gill Nethercott Centre Friday market

2025

  • January – Selected as RHS Britain In Bloom finalist 2025
  • WIB selected for Tesco Stronger Starts Blue Token Collection Scheme
  • Base built for greenhouse up at the allotment
  • February – Greenhouse erected
  • March – Launch of Beautiful Bug Hotel competition, a collaboration between Whitchurch in Bloom and Wildlife of Whitchurch
